My recurring fitness coach client, Tonya Vidito, came to me with an idea about photographing a nutrition-based session of her in the kitchen for one of her personal brand photography sessions and I was immediately onboard!
I’m sure most fitness and nutrition experts will tell you that when it comes to a healthy lifestyle, 20% of it comes from what you do in the gym and 80% of it comes from what you do in the kitchen. Even tough Tonya spends most of her week at the gym either running her business or exercising on her own, she will tell you that what she eats impacts her performance in the gym.
When Tonya came to me with the “kitchen idea,” she was in the middle of designing a 1-week detox plan to help individuals jump-start their healthy lifestyle change. She realizes that switching to a healthy lifestyle is difficult to do overnight so she wanted to give her clients a simple way to get the most out of their kitchens.
Tonya wanted to show examples of nutritious, delicious meals that were easy to make at home. And even though this was a detox plan, she didn’t want her clients to feel like they were missing out on flavor.
This was such a fun personal brand photography session (probably one of my favorites)! The reason why it was so much fun was because I literally watched Tonya prepare and cook 2 meals and 1 snack. I had her slow her process down just a little bit so we could capture the perfect images but what you see is all REAL. And when the session was done, I got to have lunch with Tonya. Let me tell you… the food was delicious.
