One of the first personal brand photography sessions I ever photographed was for my dear friend and acupuncturist, Laurie Stone with Three Wells Acupuncture Clinic – located in downtown Morris, Illinois just outside of Chicago, Illinois. She is a licensed Acupuncturist and board-certified Herbalist and she is passionate about supporting health through non-drug solutions.
There are so many traits I love about Laurie but most of all she is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet! When we talked about what she wanted from her personal brand photography session, she wanted to set the expectations about her clinic, describe what acupuncture is through images, and have some great images for her website and blog.
Most people find the idea of acupuncture scary because of the needles. Laurie wanted to debunk some of the myths about acupuncture like it’s just a bunch of needles placed haphazardly around your body or that it is painful. Our goal with showing Laurie working with an actual patient was to educate future patients with the acupuncture process. As a patient of Laurie’s, I can honestly say that it’s one of the most relaxing things I experience!
Laurie also wanted to show how inviting and calm her clinic is and that she does so much more than just acupuncture. At her clinic, you are always greeted by a smiling, welcoming person and are put at ease with calming essential oil fragrances. Laurie also keeps an inventory of herbal and whole food supplements to help with balancing her patients’ bodies.
Laurie and her business, Three Wells Acupuncture Clinic, is certainly one of hidden gems of Morris and Grundy County. I have loved witnessing Laurie’s business thrive!
